Fifth Avenue Collections

The challenge for this week was to create a look for Barbie that would fit into a designer collection displayed in the shop windows on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue.

This gray and floral non-woven fabric dress was inspired by the Blanc de Chine collection at 673 Fifth Avenue.

The second look, inspired by the Armani collection at 717 Fifth Avenue, was made using a metallic golden cotton-poly blend with soft pink lining material.

This black and white jersey dress was inspired by the Chanel collection on 57th Street between Madison and Fifth Avenue.

Dollar Store Fashion

The challenge this week was to create a look for Barbie using materials purchased at a local dollar store.  Each designer had a budget of $3.

The first look was made using black pantyhose, a sequined headband, and a golden paper doily.

The second look (with an optional shawl) was made using green and silver dish scouring pads and organza ribbon.

Back in Time

The challenge this week was to create a look for Barbie inspired by a time period from the past.

The first look was inspired by the 1980s and was made using cotton, nylon (leggings) and wool (leg-warmers).

The second look was inspired by the 1920s and was made with floral and tan Japanese cotton.
