Inspired at the Met

This week's challenge was to create a look for Barbie inspired by a piece of art from the Asian collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

This multi-textile dress was inspired by a Chinese porcelain figure from the Qing dynasty's Kangxi period (early 18th century).

This porcelain vase from the Southern Song dynasty (12th-13th century) in China served as the inspiration for a cotton corduroy dress.

Recycled underwear

This week's challenge was to create a look for Barbie using old underwear.

This first look was created using old undies (for the top) and an old bra (for the bottom).

This adjustable-length summer dress and matching sweater were both made out of old tights.
